POETRY

I’ve always written lyrics and when I was young these included some pretty bad ones! But lyrics can rest in the music, hide under the melody, get absorbed in the backing. When I achieved my masters in music composition I started taking an interest in the rhythm and sounds of words on their own. So began the first forays into poetry.

My inspiration is nature but mixed with a slightly warped interpretation of what I see. Exploring what is reality and how we interpret this through our senses.

I was pleased to have my poems selected in the “For The Many Not The Few” anthologies. These collaborations contain an exciting and eclectic mix of modern poetry.

I was even more delighted when the editor approached me with an offer to publish a book of my own work. So, Earth’s Secret Engine was born.
